Modern evil has pushed human civilization to a desperate situation, and a historic decisive war is underway. The major battlefield of this war is in the United States. How will history unfold?
After achieving unprecedented victory in 2020, communism has never stopped attacking the United States. Inside, their persecution of President Trump for eight consecutive years intensified. Also, they deprived our people of various rights granted by the Bill of Rights. This group of lunatics will never stop if American citizens don’t fight them head on. Tucker Carlson’s sense of foreboding was not groundless.
Even if the situation develops according to a good possible scenario, with neither assassination nor world war, what will be the outcome? Will these lunatics allow the 2024 election to proceed normally? Historians in the past believed that a nation’s history was simply the result of a mechanical evolution of an idea. We had our great Founding Fathers, and America once was a beacon of freedom to the world. Will historic mechanical necessity keep us safe?
The development trajectory of human beings over thousands of years has never been like this. At every critical period of historical development, a country must make a choice. This decision results from a battle between opposing beliefs and values. The decisive factor in the development of a country is the temperament of its people. This temperament comes from the collection of individuals who make up a nation, and it expresses the character of a nation. Many people recall the tale of Benjamin Franklin’s talk with a woman after the 1787 Constitutional Convention. That voice is still echoing deep in the time tunnel: “A republic if you can keep it.”
This echoing voice forces everyone to make a choice. Once again, the choice was between freedom and voluntary servitude.
In these darkest days, when evil was powerful and arrogant, I was reminded of a poem by Walt Whitman:
Roaming in Thought [After reading Hegel]
“Roaming in thought over the Universe,
I saw the little that is Good
steadily hastening towards immortality,
And the vast all that is call’d Evil I saw hastening to merge itself
and become lost and dead.”
