Debunking the Disguise of Democratic Socialism

The free world has come a long way down the wrong path, bewitched by democratic socialism. Many high-ranking celebrities in politics, business, and humanities have opposite idea about this issue. They would ask, “what do you think who you are?”

I am a trivial little nobody, but I had stayed for a long time on the destination where their chosen path led to. I knew a world they have never really known and have tried to remind them to think more deeply about the world they believe they know. This saying would not please them but it’s an objective truth. I am a rare living fossil.

The younger generation who is bewitched by them could say: our socialism is not the socialism you have experienced and the socialism that people debate here in America is democratic socialism, not socialism in China. I have never linked them just because of their names. The important basis for my comparison is precisely the political views advocated by the enormous figures, and my observation over the past 30-plus years. These two types of socialism are not only comparable but also have strong similarities.

By analyzing what these celebrities said, and especially did, we can find the actual source of this great division. The key is to help readers see through what’s behind the beautiful words of these celebrities and find the truth.

We must strip off the beautiful disguise of democratic socialism layer by layer. In my book, I put together a list of eight political views by their advocates. Looking at each item one by one, people can easily find the counterpart of the CCP. Most similar items have different names, but each pair of similar ones has the same connotation.

My comparison shows how two socialisms share the same arguments, principles, and codes of conduct. The comparison clearly reveals the true intentions of the advocates of democratic socialism in the United States.

During the transition from socialism to communism, the eight political propositions and policies listed above appeared alternately. The entire transition process was roughly carried out at the following four levels. The first level is to create chaos and make use of it; or to use Mao’s words, it is called a big break plus an enormous stand. Started from about a hundred years ago, the CCP caused riots in the first democratic republic in Asia through using peasants in the countryside and organizing student movements in the cities. Taking advantage of the Japanese invasion of China, the CCP finally seized power by force in 1949. The second level is to create fear and silence the people under tyranny. Many political movements after 1949 have further strengthened the fear of tyranny. People remain silent because of fear or greed. Then at the third level, Mao and the CCP have controlled the narrative to distort the entire language system in mainland China. They have played with big words and vague rhetoric to induce the political degeneration of the entire society through the degeneration of this language. The fourth and deepest level is to control the public’s thoughts and behaviors. After being kidnapped and possessed, most people in mainland China became puppets and slaves.

I witnessed the entire process of the formation of such a tyranny in China and endured its long-term persecution. Their slogans against me still echo in my memory. Today in the United States, a similar terrible sound stung my eardrums again. The strategies and codes of conduct of the American radical left indeed conform to Mao’s framework. The four levels listed above are not in chronological order. In the same historical period, change at different levels will also be different. When I came to the United States over 30 years ago, I immediately felt the first level of change. In the past few years, this kind of change has become more and more intense, and changes in the second and third levels have appeared gradually.

Am I accusing all American socialists as conspirators? Am I alleging that they have prepared a set of rhetoric in advance because they wanted to be dictators? No, I’ve never thought about it in this way. Among my friends and acquaintances in the United States, there are also socialism believers. They are all nice people, and some are outstanding. They find the flaws and even problems of capitalism and hope that socialism could be the solution. I appreciate their premise and motivation but firmly believe that their solution would violate their good intentions.

Except for some big conspirators and the worst hooligans, even many important members of the CCP had their own different starting states as individuals. A lot of them started as decent and kind people. In the decades when I was labeled one of the Five Black Categories in China, I sometimes met kind CCP members who helped me and even protected me at critical moments. Actually, there was no shortage of the best talents among the socialism believers in China, including some of the top leaders of the CCP in the early stage. There were also many people who donated personal properties or abandoned their personal bright future for the ideal of socialism. In the past century, the CCP’s reverse elimination mechanism purged and even killed these good people or had deeply regretted in their later years because of their early choices. The fate of such people eventually led to many human tragedies.

The basic elements of the socialism determine that the system is easy to become a tool in the hands of the careerists who have ulterior motives and will inevitably lead to a paradise only for rogues and villains. The sincere believers of socialism in the early years, who wished for democratic constitutionalism in China, could have never dreamed that their hard work and dedication would lead to a disaster for China and for themselves. After seizing political power in mainland China, the CCP’s series of political movements had successfully turned a democratic republic into a dark empire. The crucial forces for this transition are to create the chaos and great fears, to paralyze people’s perceptions, to control their way of thinking, and to poison their souls. This transition has eventually led to political dictatorship, economic recession, cultural desertification, and moral degradation in China. Now this communist barbarism is distorting American dream and wanting to complete same transition in the United States.
